G.F Smith have announced their strategic partnership with Taopix to introduce their AI powered album design platform. G.F Smith was founded in 1885 by George Frederick Smith who along with his son shared a passion for paper. 100 years later, the company established G.F Smith Photographic in order to create handmade, exquisite albums.

“Our search for a solution that would significantly decrease the amount of time it takes to design an album started at the end of 2017.” Says Gareth Sheekey, Photographic Director of G.F Smith. “We know that many of our clients, who are predominantly professional photographers, enjoy the art of designing a wedding album or photo book from scratch, however for others, the length of time taken from concept to completion is too long for them and ultimately results in no album being supplied. It could take months to design an album, a lot of thought and planning goes into the creation – the picture selection, editing and finally designing an album that tells a meaningful story are all factors that contribute to the lengthy timelines. At G.F Smith we believe in the fundamental value of the printed piece” continues Sheekey.

When asked why G.F Smith decided to choose Taopix as their solution, Sheekey answers that it was exactly what they were looking for. G.F Smith are an existing client of Transeo Media, the sole distributor of Taopix software in the United Kingdom. “ checked each of the boxes, our client can import a folder of photos, and either design a book themselves or have the AI do the work for them.” concluded Sheekey.

“The solution chooses the best pictures by doing a scoring analysis on the quality (a blended score of Face, Blur, Color Histograms and Saliency). It then continues to analyze similarities between images taken, choosing only the best quality images and completes the analysis with location and time clustering of the images before auto-flowing them into the design.” says Neil Bather, Managing Director of Transeo Media.

About the Role
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic B2B Sales professional, who can deliver measurable success. In your defined territory, you will use your consultative selling skills to arrange sales calls following up with product demonstrations and managing each client through the sales life cycle, culminating in successful negotiations and implementations.

General duties will include.
– Follow up sales enquiries by email, telephone, online demos and personal visits
– Develop new customers through individual account support, to help grow incremental revenue
– Generate new leads using your own initiative
– Work with the management team on improving sales strategy and goals
– Work with the management team on marketing strategies
– Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database (CRM)
– Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
– Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
– Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
– Attend Monthly/Quarterly sales meetings
– Attend exhibitions on behalf of the company
– Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets for new business

About You
We’re looking for someone who is hardworking and very sales and target driven, is used to making a high volume of outbound sales calls, is successful at speaking with decision makers at the highest level within a target business and who has fantastic rapport building and listening skills. You need to be a responsible, self-starter. You will be confident and articulate with good communication skills. We expect that you’d be proactive and able to work self-directed and as part of a team where necessary. You’re reliable, flexible and cooperative with the ability to multi-task. You have attention to detail, you’re web savvy with an ability to work within various software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Overall, you’re personable and approachable, with an enthusiastic and motivational nature with a passion for excellence. If this sounds like you, then you’ll fit right in!

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and background:

3+ years proven experience in business to business sales and:
– Ability to meet and exceed sales targets
– Proficient in managing the sales pipeline using CRM systems
– Excellent negotiating and closing skills
– Excellent organisational skills
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Great accuracy and attention to detail
– Positive can-do attitude, flexible and proactive and able to manage your time efficiently
– UK travel will be required with overnight stays (Exhibitions, customer visits etc.)
– Team oriented – able to work under instruction as part of a team
– Strong customer satisfaction orientation
– Interest and experience in e-commerce, Internet and web technologies.
